Aon Appoints Quinton Kotze as Head of Cyber Solutions Australia

Aon has appointed Quinton Kotze as head of cyber solutions for Australia, strengthening the firm’s cyber risk and insurance capabilities across the region.

Based in Sydney, Kotze will lead Aon’s cyber solutions business in Australia and help shape the company’s cyber risk strategy in alignment with its global cyber practice. He will report to Alistair Clarke, head of specialty for Australia.

Cyber risk continues to rank among the most complex and fast-moving challenges facing organisations. As a result, Aon is expanding its cyber leadership capability to support clients navigating evolving threat environments, regulatory pressure, and growing operational risk.

In the role, Kotze will bring together cyber risk advisory services and insurance broking capabilities. He will support organisations across financial services, corporate, and national market segments through integrated cyber solutions designed to improve resilience and risk management.

Clarke said the appointment highlights Aon’s continued investment in cyber expertise within Australia.

“Cyber risk is a critical area of focus for our clients, and this appointment reflects our continued investment in strengthening our cyber capabilities in Australia,” Clarke said.

“Quinton brings deep market experience, strong insurer and client relationships, and a balanced, practical approach to cyber risk. He is well placed to lead our cyber solutions business and support clients as their risk environments continue to evolve.”

Quinton Kotze brings nearly two decades of cyber and financial lines experience

Before joining Aon, Kotze worked at Chubb as digital domain lead and financial lines product manager for Asia. He has also held senior cyber and financial lines leadership positions at AIG and Marsh.

Overall, Kotze brings more than 19 years of experience across the financial lines and cyber insurance sector throughout Australia and Asia.

Kotze said organisations are placing greater attention on cyber risk as attacks and operational disruption continue to increase globally.

“I’m delighted to be joining Aon at a time when cyber risk is firmly on the agenda for organisations across Australia,” Kotze said.

“Aon’s integrated approach, combining advisory, data, analytics, and insurance, provides a strong platform to help clients make better decisions. I’m looking forward to working with colleagues across the firm to further build sustainable, client-focused cyber solutions.”

Cyber risk remains a major focus for Australian organisations

The appointment comes as Australian organisations continue increasing investment in cyber resilience, insurance coverage, and incident response planning.

Aon said its integrated approach combines cyber advisory services, analytics, and insurance expertise to help organisations better understand and manage cyber risk.
